**40402BR** **Extended Job Title:** Section Coordinator **Org Level 1:** Texas Tech Unv Hlth Sci Ctr El Paso **Position Description:** Coordinates a section in a department that has institutional oversight responsibilities. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program or departmental project as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and/or students. **Requisition ID:** 40402BR **Travel Required:** Up to 25% **Major/Essential Functions:** + Monitor student absence and ensure timely notifications are sent. + Provide primary administrative support for the Associate Dean and Director by scheduling meetings, organizing office documents, managing filing systems, and handling incoming communications and requests. + Act as the designated shopper for the Office of Student Affairs, ensuring all purchases adhere to institutional policies and procedures. Responsibilities include ordering and tracking supplies and equipment to fulfill departmental needs. + Oversee and maintain inventory of promotional supplies for the office. + Oversight of dental student organizations. + Coordinate data and information collection processes, including distributing data collection forms, sending email requests, monitoring submissions, and organizing and tracking received files. + Assist the Associate Dean and Director with special projects as needed. + Prepares and processes all travel for the department. + Assists with website maintenance (uploading information/reports, monitoring website accuracy, some content editing) + Process budget revisions for the office. + Submit IT tickets and work orders for the department. + Assist in planning and coordinating events such as New Student Orientation, welcome events, town hall meetings, and major ceremonies, including the White Coat Ceremony, Awards Banquet, and Commencement. + Maintains and updates files on all dental students and ensures the accuracy of academic records in collaboration with the Office of Admissions. + Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes. + Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP’s values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork).
