Our South Normanton facility is a key part of our operations, and we are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Section Leader to join our dynamic team. Salary: £28,424.52 per annum

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, rotating shifts (6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm)

Role Overview: As a Warehouse Section Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our warehouse operations run smoothly and effectively. You will lead a team of operatives, ensuring compliance with stringent industry standards and company policies while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure operatives use only the equipment they are trained to operate.

Report any damage or defects in on-site equipment or property promptly.

Secure all access points to the warehouse and challenge unauthorized personnel.

Monitor staff appearance to ensure compliance with uniform policies and display of identity passes.

Maintain high standards of housekeeping in line with MHRA and GDP standards.

Uphold cold-chain disciplines consistently.

Train and develop staff to maximize efficiency and ensure training SOPs are recorded.

Encourage continuous improvement in warehouse operations.

Record and address errors, providing feedback and corrective actions when necessary.

Communicate effectively with the operations team and other departments.

Lead and motivate team members to perform at their best.

Deliver regular briefings to staff and manage resources to meet targets.

Conduct random process audits as needed.

Handle order change consignment concerns and deliver KPIs for the business and department.

Adhere to 5S procedures and ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies.

Competencies:

Previous warehouse experience.

Strong leadership skills.

Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems.

Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

Excellent communication skills with the confidence to address poor performance.

Effective planning and prioritization skills.

Ability to delegate effectively.

Flexible approach to work, including shift work.

Honest, open, and approachable demeanour.

Strong team leadership and motivational abilities.

Initiative and sound judgment in decision-making.

Education, Knowledge, and Experience Required:

Previous warehouse experience.

Understanding of company policies and procedures.

Experience operating an RDT.

Knowledge of GDP and Warehouse Management Systems.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.

Preferred NVQ Level or equivalent.

Completion of relevant SOP training within three months.
