This role helps ensure the sustained continuity of technical mastery and line leadership in manufacturing, by leading a key line of the business (technical, system or organizational) to deliver results defined by the compelling business need of the site. You ensure that key business results are achieved and for developing others to ensure the sustained continuity of technical mastery on the manufacturing line. Using a systematic approach, you use strategic thinking skills to ensure results are sustained over the long term.
How you will contribute
In your likely first managerial role, you will ensure that Mondelēz International’s safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets are achieved for the lines for which you are responsible by breaking down section targets into line and unit targets and ensuring that employees understand their individual performance goals related to the overall targets. In this role, you will also develop budgets and be responsible for costs control management, governance and compliance, loss elimination and workforce planning, including recruitment, retention, development, succession planning, and the identification of high potential team members. Without you, we would not be able to deliver high-quality snacks to our customers.

Autonomous maintenance (AM) Step 4 systems and progressive maintenance (PM) Step 3 systemsMaintaining equipment at basic conditions independently, including the execution of AM & PM (break-down maintenance, planned maintenance) standards on dedicated equipmentTotal productive maintenance and Six Sigma including qualification of AM steps 5-6, and PM step 3Leading line teamsHandling challenging interpersonal situations tactfullyInfluencing people in a union environmentCommunicating effectively verbally and in writing and a good attention to detailMore about this role
What you need to know about this position:
a) Achieve consistent product quality and ensure food safety at all times
b) Achieve vertical startup for new equipment, installation and/or lines.
c) Achieve the targets on CBN for the plants in the section
d) Ensure full compliance to all process parameters and documentation of all activities and parameters on all lines in the section.
e) Reduction in scrap / rework level -Drive down waste on the lines & champion waste reduction efforts and ensure rework re-use
f) Achieve near zero defects on the production lines in the section
g) Ensure plant & equipment availability, reliability and performance round the clock
h) Deliver plants weekly production plan & achieve OEE/GE on both Making and Packing section of the line.
i) Strict adherence to GMP and Food safety Requirements.
j) Draw up cleaning plan for the equipment and ensure compliance.
k) Ensure machines are run with guards and safety devices in place.
l) Ensure machines are ran based on SOPs and center line.
m) Report and investigate near misses, incident & accidents in the factory
n) Conduct Risk Assessment, Quick Risk Prediction and ensure LOTO compliance
o) Effective DMS meetings and Visible SQCDSM boards
p) Ensure M&R Lead draw up PPM programme and ensure implementation for both making and packing end of the line to ensure equipment reliability.
q) Drive the people agenda of the plant
r) Identify improvement opportunities of the lines in the section and ensure implementation.
s) Liaise effectively with support services providers to ensure prompt and quality service delivery to the line.
t) Carry out daily plants walk through and restore and maintain acceptable standards.
u) Drive full implementation of AM steps 1-7 on the line.
What extra ingredients you will bring:
- Proficient with IL6S/ TPM/ WCM
- Excellent analytical skills of production systems, components parts and equipment.
- Understanding of component materials (raw materials) and make suggestions on ways to enhance the overall product quality and process reliability.
- Ability to develop, configure and optimize existing processes
- Data interpretation to include process audits, process and packaging development
- MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer literacy
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- A proven ability to learn quickly and take responsibility for actions taken.
- Accountable, Adaptable, Aggressive, Collaborative & must have integrity
- Inspire Trust and Lead from both the head and the heart.
- Must have basic understanding of IL6S or TPM
Education / Certifications:
- Must possess at least a HND or BSc in Engineering or Sciences from a reputable institution.
Job specific requirements:
. Must have at least 5 years’ experience in a Process Plant with al least 2 years as people manager.
