We have an exciting opportunity for a Section Manager Loads and Dynamics to join the team with JETS II Teammate Company, Mb Solutions Inc. \n

The Section Manager - Structural Loads and Dynamics will:\n\nSupport the NASA\/JSC Engineering Directorate Loads and Dynamics Branch\nEnsure employees in functional areas follow established procedures and generate finished work products under time and budgetary constraints and ensure products yield the expected outcome and establish equality levels. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals\nEnsure NASA customer has adequate technical support personnel to accomplish associated tasks\nConduct meetings with NASA customer to provide status and obtain feedback\nPerform routine project status reviews for cost, schedule, risk management, and deliverable adherence\nConduct oversight, mentorship and guidance to employees and task leads\nWork with leads to track and maintain efficient task performance\nMaintain an active list of lessons learned to actively inform section members\nMaintain active related risk management (technical, cost, and schedule) on all associated tasks\nConduct periodic section meetings to review personnel work safety\nConduct periodic face to face meetings with employees to obtain status, ensure efficiency and provide solutions where needed\nReview and approve employee time cards, overtime requests, time-off requests, and travel\nReview resource requests and conduct interviews to identify and attain necessary personnel\nDocument and perform personnel performance evaluation reviews\nGenerate award nominations for employees\nEstablish, monitor, and update personnel training plan as required\nWork with colleagues to coordinate issue resolution across multiple JETS organizations which could include source limitations, technical challenges, process breakdowns, etc.\nEstablish a framework and oversight for technical correctness on all work performed by section\nWork with the Engineering Directorate Division Technical Monitor (DTM) and Task Order manager to establish budget estimates\nReview, develop or update section processes as required\nPerform technical duties as required\nPerform other duties as required\n\nQualifications\n

Requisition Qualifications:\n

Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised.\n\nTypically requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering and normally possess 5 - 10 years of related experience. License and certification may be required\nMinimum 5 years performing tasks associated with Spacecraft\nExcellent oral and written communication and organizational skills with the ability to work in a team environment\nExperience planning and establishing work priorities\nExperience leading a team of engineers\nExperience with customer and stakeholder interactions\nExperience in the loads and dynamics discipline including coupled loads analysis, shock, vibro-acoustics, signal processing, testing, and multi-body dynamics\nProficient in MS Office programs\n\n

Requisition Preferences: \n\n\u200bBS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of eight (8) years of direct engineering experience in the field of loads and dynamics with a strong understanding of the skills required to perform these tasks\nMinimum of fifteen (15) years of direct engineering experience in the field of loads and dynamics\nPrior or current experience supporting the NASA\/JSC Engineering Directorate Loads and Dynamics Branch\nProficiency in Coupled Loads Analysis (CLA) and an understanding of the workflow to perform a CLA\nVibro-acoustic analysis experience\nFinite element modeling experience\nFamiliarity with NASA requirements for load and dynamics, including modal and vibroacoustic testing\nExperience in Python, MATLAB, or C\/C++\nExperience using Smartsheets\n\n
