Secure Mobility Network Operations Manager

The Digital Modernization Sector within Leidos is seeking a Secure Mobility Network Operations Manager to support the DoD Mobility Classified Capability (DMCC) program as part of the GIG Service Management – Operations II (GSM-O II) in San Antonio TX.

We’re seeking a candidate experienced with enterprise network service operations, sustainment, and management activities to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of the DoD's secure mobile device capability service. You’ll work as the on-site manager and site lead of a Network Operations team responsible for managing an infrastructure comprised of a variety of servers, network appliances, and applications supporting voice and data services.

Primary Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day operations of network operators, system administrators and engineers.

Assist mission partners with mobile device VPN connectivity debugging, user account and device management, and troubleshooting system/service access issues.

Perform configuration updates and maintenance activities to patch, secure, and maintain systems.

Respond to, and lead efforts to analyze, issues that degrade system or network performance to minimize downtime.

Address complex technical issues using internal SOPs and collaboration with team members.

Create and update documentation for common issues and processes to contribute to the team’s knowledge base.

Provide input on ways to optimize processes and improve the efficiency of the environment.

Support occasional after-hours maintenance and be available for 2-hour onsite call back support for critical issues.

Work closely with government operations counterparts to streamline processes, reporting and gain efficiencies.

Basic Qualifications:

Active Secret clearance

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, engineering, or related field. (Specific experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree)

8+ years’ experience in network administration, operations, and maintenance.

3+ years of experience supervising or leading network admin teams.

Experience supporting and maintaining a classified network.

Experience configuring/maintaining routers/switches/firewalls.

Experience in Computer Network Defense (CND) tools, policies, procedures, and regulations and vulnerability/ patch management

Experience managing Tier 1 and Tier II network operations.

Experience configuring and operating network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, OpenNMS, and PRTG

Experience in automatic network asset and topology discovery

Knowledge of defense-in-depth principles, network/HW/SW security architecture, network topology, IT device integrity, and common security elements

Working knowledge of the ITIL framework and best practices

Experienced and adept at developing and maintaining technical documents, analyses, and reports.

Experience presenting briefings to senior customer management, customer stakeholders, and company management.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, Dynamic Host Configuration, Domain Name System (DNS), and directory services.

Knowledge of network design processes, to include understanding of security objectives, operational objectives, and trade-offs.

Desired Qualifications (not required, but a huge plus):

Ability to obtain a TS clearance, if required

DoD 8570 IAT/IAM III Certifications such as CAP, CASP, CISSP, CISA, CISM, GCED, GCIH, or GSLC

Experience establishing and managing a network operations center for a large enterprise.

One or more ITIL v3 Intermediate certifications, preferably including Service Operations

Experience managing and supporting voice, video, and wireless services.

Experience implementing and supporting network security monitoring tools.

Experience with enterprises that span Windows, LINUX, and cloud technologies.

Networking certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, Juniper Networks Certified Enterprise Routing and Switching-Professional

Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-37

Experience configuring and maintaining network devices - switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs.

Experience with scripting or automation tools.

Experience with VMWare - ESX/ESXi, vCenter, vSphere.

Experience with AD, SCCM, SQL, MySQL, SELinux, DNS.

Knowledge of networking concepts such as OSI Model, LAN/WAN, IPv4/IPv6, subnetting and VLANs.

Experience maintaining systems and services in an air-gapped environment.

Knowledge of security policies such as DISA STIGS and general vulnerabilities management.

Certifications with major system vendors such as Microsoft, Red Hat, VMware, Cisco, Juniper, or Aruba.

Pay Range:Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
