Job Title: Security Guard

Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Security Guard to join our team. In this role, you will issue dealer plates and maintain logs. Manually open and close the gate each time a vehicle passes through. Assist the receiving team as needed. Notify staff of deliveries via radio and/or Whatsapp.

To ensure success as a Security Guard, you should be able to move from sitting to standing position many times per day. Always Be On Time. Enforce proper procedures. Be diligent, detailed, and able to open or close gates at any moment.

Essential Duties

Practice proper access control for the property only allowing authorized personal or vendors through the gates.

Ensure paperwork is completed in full with an authorized signature prior to issuing a dealer plate for test drives.

Close the gates after each authorized vehicle is given access.

Log all test drives on a live document using a tablet provided.

Ensure all vehicle deliveries are handled properly, note any carriers who refuse to unload their vehicles in the pre approved areas.

Stay awake, aware, and alert at all hours.

Keep the work area clean and organized.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

Previous experience as a Gate Guard or similar preferred.

Working knowledge of basic security and lot porter duties would be advantageous.

Ability to assume responsibility for the valuable property of customers and the dealership.

Willingness to learn and to perform a wide range of allocated tasks.

Ability to take accurate notes regarding vehicle movements and vehicle conditions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to work irregular business hours, including evening hours, weekends, and holidays.

Salary: $11.00 - $18.00 per hour
