This role requires strong client-facing skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders. Experience with developer security platforms like Snyk is a significant plus. Key Responsibilities: + Security Development: Design, develop, and implement secure application code, ensuring that security is integrated into the software development lifecycle (SDLC). + Consultative Support: Provide expert guidance and consultation to development teams and clients on best practices in secure coding and application security. + Client Engagement: Work closely with clients to understand their security needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure successful implementation of security practices. + Security Tools Implementation: Utilize and manage security tools like Snyk or similar platforms to identify and remediate vulnerabilities in code, dependencies, and configurations. + Training & Enablement: Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate development teams on security best practices, tools, and technologies. + Security Assessments: Perform security assessments, code reviews, and threat modeling to identify potential security risks and recommend mitigation strategies. + Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, operations, and security teams, to ensure security is embedded in every phase of the project. + Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and tools to continuously improve security practices within the organization. Qualifications: + Experience: + Proven experience in application development with a focus on security. + Strong understanding of security principles, secure coding practices, and threat modeling. + Experience with security tools such as Snyk, OWASP, or similar platforms. + Skills: + Excellent communication and client-facing skills. + Ability to quickly understand new technologies and security challenges. + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Ability to work independently and in a team environment. + Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), or similar are a plus. + Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
