CGI is seeking a highly experienced Security Architect to lead the security efforts for implementation of a hospital-based software product. In this role, you will be responsible for the tactical design and implementation of security measures that protect the overall solution, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies. As a key member of the architecture team, you will work closely with other architects, engineers, and stakeholders to embed security into every layer of the cloud environment.
You are a seasoned security professional with a robust background in cloud security, especially within the federal healthcare environments. You possess a deep understanding of security frameworks, tools, and best practices, and you are always ahead of the curve in identifying potential risks and implementing effective countermeasures. Your ability to communicate complex security concepts to a diverse audience makes you a trusted advisor in any organization.
This position is located in our Arlington, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
• Security Control Assessment and Implementation: Lead the assessment and deployment of security controls and solutions across a complex healthcare system and workflow product, ensuring all solutions are security and compliant.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct regular security assessments, identify potential vulnerabilities, and develop mitigation strategies to protect the system, applications and data within a federal healthcare environment.
• Collaboration and Integration: Work closely with other product experts to integrate security seamlessly into the overall architecture, including network security, application security, and data protection.
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure that all security measures comply with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001) and internal government department security policies.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about emerging security threats and technologies, continuously improving the security posture. Of our solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in security architecture, particularly in a system and software/product environment.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC2, and experience implementing them in federal environments.
• Experience in the protecting sensitive information in accordance with VA Handbook 6500, local security field office System Security Plans (SSP’s) and Authority to Operate (ATO)’s for all systems/LAN’s accessed.
• Proficiency in security tools such as The Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), a service-oriented computer application that supports Information Assurance (IA) program management and automates the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
• Experience working closely with compliance teams and driving security governance initiatives.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or AWS Certified Security Specialty.
• Experience with automated security tools.
• Expertise in securing system/application architectures, APIs, and database/data management environments.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $78,400.00 - $190,900.00.
