The role As a Security Architect, you provide security leadership for design, implementation, integration, and oversight of cloud-based and hybrid systems' security solutions with an emphasis on securely facilitating business operations. As part of the role, you will work with the IT architecture teams in the delivery of the Cyber Transformation Program and other upcoming projects. You will be working as a customer-facing specialist leading in-depth technical security architecture assessments with solution architects, data scientists, developers, IT administrators, IT management, and business stakeholders to ensure the delivery of secure data solutions.  Application Security: Expertise in application security, including secure coding practices, vulnerability assessments, and threat modelling. Data Security: Oversee the security of data in both cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and corporate technologies. Cloud Security: Identify suitable cloud services for securing solution components and assess the effectiveness of existing or planned defence mechanisms and mitigation controls. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholder groups to comprehend functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring a comprehensive understanding to address security needs effectively. Architecture Collaboration: Collaborate with the architecture team to ensure that current and future architectures incorporate security principles, mitigating risks associated with evolving technologies and business practices. Development Collaboration: Effective collaboration with application security engineers and application developers is crucial to ensure secure software development practices and robust threat mitigation Compliance Assurance: Ensure adherence to legislation, regulations, and standards, including SOC2. Risk Management: Conduct security risk assessments, exposure analysis, and business impact assessments on intricate information systems, working alongside specialists and domain experts. Threat Analysis: Document the scope and assess the results of vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities, continuously developing and maintaining threat analysis Strategic Guidance: Provide advice and guidance on security strategies to manage identified risks, outlining mitigation actions in consultation with key stakeholders Security Architecture Development: Contribute to the creation of information security policies, standards, guidelines, and architectural patterns, producing specifications for cloud-based components What we need to see from you More than 5 years relevant experience in cyber security consulting. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in information systems, information technology, or related field. Advanced degree in Cyber Security or certifications are highly desirable. Knowledge and experience with industry standards such as NIST SP800-53, NIST CSF, Cloud Security Alliance, SOC2, and ISO 27001 Experience in reading and understanding vulnerability assessments and penetration test reports. Experience in Zero Trust networks. Obtained or actively pursuing security industry certifications such as CISSP, AWS Security, CISA, CISM,SABSA or other relevant certifications Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role. In-depth knowledge of cloud computing technologies, platforms, and services Demonstrated expertise in designing application security architectures, including secure coding practices and a thorough understanding of the secure cloud development lifecycle Demonstrated proficiency in cloud security services on Azure and AWS platforms Proven ability to design secure solutions for SaaS applications, ensuring robust protections In-depth experience in risk management, with a proven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate potential security threats Effective communication and collaboration skills, consulting with various stakeholders (both technical and non-technical) Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus Job Function Software & Cloud Services Accommodations SoftwareOne welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and abilities to apply.
