Job Summary:  The Security Architect at BD plays a crucial role in safeguarding the organization’s information systems. The Security Architect develops and implements security strategies to safeguard BD’s IT, OT and R&D infrastructure. They conduct security architecture design review assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and design robust security architectures. Their responsibilities include and are not limited to creating technical security policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting the response to security incidents. Security Architects work closely with IT, OT and R&D teams to integrate security measures into all aspects of the organization’s technology operations.

Responsibilities:

Design and Implement Security Systems: Develop, build, test, and implement security systems to protect the organization’s IT, OT and R&D infrastructure.

Cyber architecture design review: Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities within the IT, OT and R&D network and systems and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Incident Response: Support the prompt resolution of security breaches and incidents, conducting thorough investigations and implementing corrective measures.

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the security team, providing deep subject matter expertise and ensuring continuous education and awareness of security best practices.

System Monitoring: Support the development and implementation of continuous security monitoring and evaluate the effectiveness of security measures, making necessary adjustments to improve security posture.

Network Security: In-depth knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other network security measures.

Cryptography: Understanding of encryption algorithms, key management, and secure communication protocols.

Cloud Security: Knowledge of securing cloud environments and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to integrate security measures into all aspects of the organization’s technology operations.

Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

Experience: 5-10 years of experience in information security and IT architecture, systems administration or similar role.

Strong foundation in cybersecurity.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Strong communication and documentation skills.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GICSP, CEH, GRID)

Skills: Strong understanding of security protocols, authentication, and security technologies
