The Opportunity:
The Security Assessment Engineer role includes many tasks including but not limited to preparing, and continuously monitoring scans in progress, advanced web applications, parallel tasks, and validation of test results. Serves as a mentor for other teammates and can act as a backup to the Technical Lead as needed Work as a team to deliver quality results to the customer.
You Are Great At:
WebInspect:
Sets up and monitors WebInspect scans, resolving issues as needed.Validates false positives and ensures scan quality.Parallel Tasks:
Conducts manual vulnerability assessments.Performs quality assurance on assessments.Advanced Expertise:
Handles priority or complex scans (WebInspect or manual tasks).Assists Leads with client or TAM inquiries.Acts as backup for Operations or Technical Leads.General Responsibilities:
Develops expertise in vulnerabilities and attack methods.Seeks help when necessary and provides constructive feedback.Accepts feedback graciously and suggests process improvements.Completes training, assists teammates, and handles custom assignments.Escalates issues and troubleshoots problematic scans.
You Are Great At:
Trainable and eager to learn web security technologies.Proficient in WebInspect, HTTP, HTML, and networking fundamentals.Advanced web vulnerability assessment and penetration testing expertise.Mastery of PT modules, tools, and security concepts.Strong attention to detail, communication, time management, and ownership of work.Open to feedback, collaborative, and proactive.Maintains a positive and quality-oriented approach under pressure.
