SECURITY ASSISTANT (OFFICE AUTOMATION)
Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will monitor physical security requirements (e.g., alarms, key control, safes, personnel identification, contractor access control) to ensure adequate safeguards are being utilized. You will use office equipment (e.g. personal computer, fax machine, scanner, etc.) to perform a variety of administrative tasks. You will coordinate with Access Control Officer on physical security issues (e.g., Access Control, Badging System, Vetting) to ensure operability and connectivity of information technology systems. You will brief and debrief personnel on security awareness for personnel seeking authorization or authorized to the facility. You will prepare written security reports to provide information to decision makers. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. 1) Preparing and/or maintaining security documents and records; 2) Procuring and/or managing supplies to ensure sufficient supplies and compliance with regulations; 3) Analyzing administrative functions to evaluate efficiency and make recommendations for improvements; 4) Utilizing office automation software to prepare reports in the correct format.
