MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform is the leading iPaaS integration platform solution. Anypoint, our fully cloud-based solution, takes advantage of the elasticity of the cloud while providing a secure connection to on-premises systems. Because we are based in the cloud, maintaining a well-architected cloud and managing cloud computing assets are very important. The successful candidate will have a significant impact on MuleSoft’s production and development teams.
What We Do
MuleSoft is looking for a software engineer to join our growing Standardize and Enforce Engineering team. Our Standardize and Enforce Engineering team is tightly integrated across all MuleSoft product engineering teams. We work closely with these service teams across the organization to enforce Trust standards for our commercial cloud and public sector cloud environments.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Drives the standardization of MuleSoft's cloud assets in alignment with Trust and regulatory needs.
Coordinate with MS Trust & Infra teams to identify key areas in the business that need help with meeting best practices/regulatory requirements.
Develop standards, automated solutions and enforcements.
Build and improve the Detect, Remediate and Enforcement framework to address security, and compliance issues that arise in the cloud
Investigate asset tagging policy violations and drive enforcements
Manage our cloud assets, maintain our cloud inventory, and attribute ownership of cloud resources to service teams
Create dashboards and reporting visualizations for engineering leadership
Use Policy as Code to build gates on all cloud infrastructure deployments
Build intelligence to automatically detect and notify about anomalies.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates should have strong communication skills (both written and verbal), excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work with engineering teams. It’s important that candidates have the ability to meet deadlines, keep organized records, and troubleshoot issues. Other requirements include:
A related technical degree required
2+ years experience working in AWS
Production experience and knowledge of architecture, operations, security and networking
Experience with programming languages such as Python, Golang, Groovy, or Shell scripting.
Experience with cloud policy engines such as Cloud Custodian, OPA or Checkov
Experience with CI/CD pipelines on Jenkins, Spinnaker, etc.
Experience with Kubernetes (preferred not required)
Experience with Security and Compliance requirements (preferred not required)
Experience with security vulnerability ticketing and reporting (preferred not required)
Experience with security vulnerability patching (preferred not required)
Experience with the AWS lakehouse architecture including Data Pipelines, ETL jobs, Data Analytics etc. (preferred not required)
Hold an AWS certification (preferred not required)
Experience with RPA (Robotic Process Automation (preferred not required)
