Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. + 2 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages. + 2 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols. + Experience in one of the following security areas: Access Controls, Operating Systems, Security Controls, Security Analysis, Authentication, Security Attack Prevention. Preferred qualifications: + Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. + Experience with identity management, Linux. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company. + Own the roadmap and risk-driven prioritization of security controls in Google’s endpoint client or server platforms. + Engineer controls and infrastructure to defend Google’s endpoint fleet. + Assess risk within the context of real threats faced by Google platforms. + Work with other security teams, Corporate Engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering teams to steer the future of platforms. + Build security tools and processes using Python, Go, or Rust for infrastructure protection, monitoring, and remediation.
