Job Title: Security Engineer

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Security Engineer, where you will work across teams and business partners to identify and assess regulatory and compliance requirements, specifically for FDA. Your role will involve supporting the review of control activities, evidence collection, and mapping documents against FDA requirements. Additionally, you will identify gaps, develop narratives to communicate findings, and collaborate with engineering teams to develop implementation plans for remediation. You will also liaise with teams to articulate control implementation and establish considerations for applying security, privacy, and compliance concepts to a technical cloud environment. Your responsibilities will further extend to maintaining control libraries, developing technical content such as reference architectures, and diving deep into the control environment to develop a technical understanding of control implementation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

•\t8+ years’ experience managing product compliance issues, preferably within a technology company, analyzing regulatory requirements, and developing policies and procedures for FDA

•\tExperience working with accredited government auditing and certification bodies

•\tHighly organized and able to build trusting relationships with stakeholders at various levels across the organization

•\tExperience in large-scale project management roles, preferably in product regulatory compliance

•\t5+ years of demonstrated experience in any of the following areas: Security Architecture, DevSecOps, Security Engineering, or Security Operations

•\tObtained a security industry certification from accreditation bodies such as (ISC)2, CompTIA, ISACA, or SANS

•\tAWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or 2+ years of demonstrated experience of building on AWS infrastructure and services

•\tTechnical Degree (Computer Science, Math, Engineering or equivalent) and/or relevant tech experience

•\t10+ years of experience performing security investigations, penetration testing, and/or incident response in the context of large organizations

•\tKnowledge of security threats, hands-on experience detecting and defending from cyber attacks, and experience using big data analytics and orchestration to address security challenges

•\tKnowledge of host and network telemetry data (e.g., process lists, application logs, NetFlow)

•\tDemonstrable knowledge of current technologies in authentication, federation, and identity management space, such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, SCIM, U2F/UAF/FIDO2, HOTP, TOTP

•\tFamiliarity with using biometrics for authentication and managing related privacy considerations

•\tFamiliarity with relevant identity-oriented standards, such as FDA, HIPAA, GDPR, NIST800-63 and GDPR
