Security Engineer
Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to support a large financial system modernization project for a federal agency. This person will be responsible for the day-to-day security posture, and continuous monitoring for the Information System in an Agile and DevSecOps environment.

This position can be located remotely anywhere in the U.S.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Manage and direct lifecycle and activities of the RMF
• Illustrate expertise in managing security processes and procedures
• Manage the creation of security documentation
• Suggest solutions for testing security and mitigating risks.
• Liaise with the government partner on security posture.
• Embrace agile methodologies and the advantages it brings to communication, flexibility, and delivering A&A artifacts.
• • Exhibit sound understanding for NIST Special Publication 800-53r5, ICD 503, and other supporting directives and policies.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience within A&A activities.
• Deep understanding of RMF.
• Proven work experience as an ISSO.
• Ability to work and collaborate with team members to resolve security issues.
• 3+ years of AWS, Azure, Google or Oracle Experience.
• Certifications: CISSP
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with team members, customers and support personnel
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
• Experience with system modernization management
• Experience supporting a Department of Defense (DOD) client Ability to solve complex business process problems
• Proven ability to develop and maintain system documentation.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Experience with AWS/Azure Cloud implementations.
• Experience with system modernization management.
• Experience supporting a Department of Defense (DOD) client.
• Sec+ or CASP+ certification


CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $96,500.00 - $213,800.00.
