As a Security Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity & Technology Controls group, you serve as a seasoned member of a team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. Carry out critical technology solutions with tamper-proof, audit defensible methods across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives

Job responsibilities

Executes security solutions design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to apply knowledge of existing security solutions to satisfy security requirements for internal clients (e.g., product, platform, application owners)Engage and improve the whole lifecycle of services - from inception and design through deployment, operation and refinementCreates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsPerform design and code reviewsDevelop and build solutions relating to Cloud Environment Governance and Protection, Auditing, Monitoring, Remediation and Reporting Design, develop and improve services to scale as the firm's cloud usage grows. 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and proficient advanced experienceProficiency and hands-on experience in AWS services, including EKS, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, etcOverall knowledge of the Software Development Life CycleSolid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and securityPractical exposure with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions such as Terraform and CloudFormationExperience in developing enterprise software and proficiency in multiple technologies, preferably PythonExperience with development methodologies, e.g. AgileWork independently and collaborate within a team to develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsSavvy Cybersecurity knowledgeExperience with Azure, GCP or other Public Cloud environments is a plus.Cloud Certifications including AWS Developer Associate, AWS Solutions Architect Associate
