Bowhead seeks a Security Escort to support on-going efforts in Colorado Springs, CO.

 

This position is initially funded for four (4) months and may or may not be extended.

 

Typical/normal duty hours are anticipated to be 0730-1630 daily Monday – Friday. Occasional after hours/weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor uncleared construction crews in Government facilities up to the Top Secret/Secure Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) level to ensure construction crews are under constant surveillance and are not given access to controlled or classified information or equipment.
• Assist during emergency action procedures to ensure SCIF is continuously protected.
• Perform escort duties for uncleared and emergency personnel by verifying visits prior to entry, accomplish SCIF visitor log, provide security briefings, provide visitor badges, inspect hand carried items prior to entry, activate rotating light alerting systems mechanisms to alert SCIF occupants of the presence of uncleared personnel, always maintain positive control and surveillance of uncleared personnel while in the SCIF, and complete the SCIF visitor log upon completion of visit.
• Perform light facility duties such as debris removal, limited snow/ice removal, furniture movements within a facility or to/from storage on facility grounds, receiving/storing supplies, and similar tasks.

• Conduct personal sweeps in closed areas; monitor prohibited items in certain areas.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years verifiable experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years high-level security experience on DOD site or similar in military
• Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
• Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently
• Ability to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Top Secret level with SCI eligibility. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location.

 

 

Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
