Security Generalist

Leverage your extensive law enforcement or military expertise in a critical security role that extends beyond traditional boundaries. This unique opportunity combines robust physical security duties – from patrolling and access control to emergency response and conflict de-escalation – with vital responsibilities in vulnerability assessment, risk analysis, and security awareness. You'll have... 

High School Diploma or GED. 5+ years of experience in law enforcement or 5+ years military experience. 1+ years of experience utilizing Microsoft Windows and Office applications. Possess a Concealed Carry Weapon License (CCW) in the State of California or meet the state requirements to obtain one within 1 month from date of hire.  Possess a valid Driver’s license.

 

Even better, you may have...

Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.  Possess a Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) or meet the requirements to obtain one within 1 month from date of hire.  5+ years' clean driving record. Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills. Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, team building, and communication skills.

What you'll do...

Promote security best practices: Encourage employees to adopt secure habits and report suspicious activities.  Maintain security documentation: Create and update security policies, procedures, and guidelines.  Identify and assess security vulnerabilities: Conduct regular vulnerability scans, analyze security logs, and evaluate potential threats.  Respond to security incidents: Investigate security breaches, contain damage, and implement corrective actions.  Identify and assess security risks: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.  Monitor premises: Regularly patrol assigned areas, observing for suspicious activity, potential hazards, and security breaches.  Control access: Screen visitors, employees, and vehicles entering and leaving the premises, checking identification, and enforcing access protocols.  Maintain security systems: Monitor alarm systems, surveillance cameras, and other security equipment, reporting any malfunctions or irregularities.  Respond to incidents: Investigate suspicious activity, respond to alarms, and handle security incidents according to established procedures.  Assist with emergencies: Provide first aid, assist with evacuations, and coordinate with emergency services during incidents.  De-escalate conflicts: Intervene in disputes, resolve conflicts peacefully, and prevent escalation of situations.  Maintain detailed logs:  Record incidents, observations, and activities in logbooks or incident reports.  Prepare reports: Document security breaches, suspicious activity, and other relevant information for management.  Communicate effectively: Maintain clear communication with superiors, colleagues, and other personnel.  Provide evidence: Gather evidence, take photographs, and secure crime scenes to assist with investigations.  Escort personnel: Escort visitors, guests, or employees to specific locations for safety and security.  Perform security checks: Conduct inspections of premises, equipment, and vehicles for potential security risks.  Must be able to work off-shifts, weekends, holidays, and change shifts. Must be available to work 24x7, 365 days a year.
