Security Generalist Supervisor

In our Office of General Counsel, you’ll be part of an organization that collaborates with outside counsel to operate as a global team and deliver world-class legal, tax and audit services to client groups throughout the company.

You'll have... 

Seven (7) years of a combination of law enforcement, military, or security experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field. Concealed Pistol License (CPL) or meet the state requirements to obtain one within 1 month from the date of hire. CPR/AED certification.

 

Even better, you may have...

Five (5) years supervisory or relevant people-leadership experience. Possess a Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) license or meet the requirements to obtain one within 1 month from date of hire. Available to work 24x7, 365 days a year. Thorough knowledge of Ford Global Security & Fire Site Operations. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Demonstrate an elevated level of interpersonal skills (soft skills).

 

Demonstrated ability to:

o Work independently and be initiative-taking.

o Make informed decisions while under time constraints.

o Prioritize daily tasks. 

o Exhibit calm, rational behavior under stressful conditions.

o Exhibit customer-first mindset. 

o Administer duties and responsibilities with accuracy and diligence.

o Show initiative, problem-solving, customer service.

o Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and other business software 

o Operate electronic access control, security video (CCTV), and alarm systems.

o Understand Corporate Fire Standards and NFPA policies.

o Assume Incident Command leadership role in the event of security, fire, or medical emergencies.

o Possess a working knowledge of emergency response levels.

What you'll do...

Supervise a team of Ford Security and contract security employees to assure compliance with the established security/fire policies and procedures. Ensure that security assignment coverage on the respective shifts adequately meets the operational model at Ford commercial properties. Manage security and executive fleet vehicle inventories. Oversee access control, personnel protection, and emergency response for executives, executive assistants, and visitors to the executive floors and executive garage. Respond to security, fire, safety, and medical emergencies. Resolve immediate issues with the contract security service provider, as needed. Liaison with appropriate internal Ford skill teams and external agencies to plan for and provide security coverage for special events at Ford commercial properties, as needed. Ensure timely and accurate reporting, documentation, and escalation of security/fire events. May perform the role of incident commander for all fire, medical, and safety emergencies. Conduct site security/fire reviews and assessments at Ford commercial properties on a regular basis.
