The opportunityDelaware North Gaming is hiring a part-time Security Guard to join our team at Finger Lakes Gaming in Farmington, New York. As a Security Guard, you will work under the direction of the Security Supervisor to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and team members while following company service and operational standards, and New York Lottery and New York Racing and Wagering regulations.
Monday – Wednesday 12:15 pm-5:00 pm

What will you do? Greet guests positively and timely, demonstrating skill in dealing with customer complaints and defusing charged situations Conduct cash escorts and patrol parking lot and ancillary buildings as assigned Observe, handle, and report procedural violations and illegal activity Ensure that identification is checked for proper admittance to the gaming floor Maintain crowd control and a secure presence on the gaming floor Operate motorized vehicle when necessary More about you High school diploma or equivalent required Must have a valid driver’s license, New York State Security Guard license, and licensed by the NY State Gaming Commission Ability to work across departmental lines with guests and vendors Previous security supervisory or law enforcement experience preferred Gaming background a plus Must have a valid driver’s license, pass an MVR check, and take a drug test. Physical requirements Ability to stand and walk for the entire length of shift, stand at assigned posts, and walk up and down stairs frequently. Ability to bend, climb, stoop, grasp, handle, lift and carry up to 35 pounds, reach, and push. Visual ability to identify potential security violations. Hearing ability to respond to the spoken voice and audible alarms. Shift detailsDay shift
