Security Guard

We are hiring a part-time Security Guard to join our dynamic care team at Marlborough Hills Rehabilitation & Health Care Center!
Weekly pay at $16 an hour. 2 days a week from 7a-3p.

You assure the safety and security of the residents, employees, facility, facility grounds, and equipment as well as take residents to and from smoking breaks.
Education & Experience:
+ High school diploma or its equivalent.
+ Security experience and/or a general background in repairs and maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Conduct an inventory of personal belongings on all admissions and safely remove and store any contraband.
+ Conduct and document, as a minimum, hourly rounds of the entire facility and its grounds and immediately report any safety concerns to the supervisor.
+ Report/document environmental concerns.
+ Be present and assist, if needed, if and when a resident may be struggling to manage emotions.
+ Ensure visitors sign-in, show identification, and conduct an inventory search.
+ Conduct frequent checks with residents deemed as risk including physically viewing resident’s whereabouts and documentation of where they are, what they are doing, and who, if anyone, they are with.
+ Assist staff with room searches.
+ May be assigned to a resident on a 1:1 basis for a determined period of time including direct supervision at all times.
Specific Requirements:
+ Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
+ Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.
+ Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
+ Must have general knowledge of repair and maintenance practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines as they pertain to long-term care.
+ Must be willing to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
+ Must have patience, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult situations using effective problem-solving techniques.
