+ Mission + To inspire health and healing by putting patients first - ALWAYS. + Position Summary + The Security Guard assumes responsibility and accountability for actions, which include, but are not limited to: Security Guard provides general security duties for the protection of the hospital, its property, staff and visitors. Responds to and reports unusual conditions. + Minimum Qualifications + Education + High school degree or equivalent required. Credentials + Credentials + BLS required. Completion of CPI training required. + Physical Demands + Stand and/or walk constant. + Lift 50 pounds floor to waist occasionally. + Climb ladder and/or 26 steps occasionally. + Bend frequently. + Eye-hand coordination within normal limits. + Essential Functions + Responds to Codes, Gray, Blue, and Pink. Red, Silver, Orange and Yellow and other security incidents when requested. + Tests levels of security on a regular basis to ensure adequate security is being maintained. + Notes observed operational or maintenance discrepancies and communicates information to maintenance staff for correction. This includes parking lot lights, exterior building lights, and other safety related hazards. + Assists staff with patient escorts, lift assists and deliveries. + Demonstrates safety and competent use of equipment. Demonstrates proper use of software applications to carry out duties. + Ability to observe and correct unsafe conditions before a problem arises. Knowledge of hospital safety and security policies and procedures preferred. + Ability to work with intoxicated, hostile or uncooperative persons required.
