Security Learning Lead

Join Barclays as a Security Learning Lead, where, as a learning professional, you’ll drive the evolution of our learning landscape to ensure CSO colleagues receive top-tier guidance on learning and development. The Security Learning Lead is crucial to the success of the Security Culture initiative, and for ensuring Barclays colleagues have best-in-class learning and guidance on all security topics. Working closely with stakeholders across all service areas within the Chief Security Office, you will be responsible for improving security behaviours across the bank, using a deep knowledge of learning theory to create bespoke interventions. You will also be responsible for identifying learning needs within CSO, and designing appropriate solutions. 

To be successful as a Security Learning Lead, you will need the following:

Proven experience in Learning and Development (e.g., as an L&D Manager or Training Manager) in a large complex organisation, with a strong ability to manage extensive work portfolios, facilitate learning, and present effectively.Background in improving organisational culture through education and engagement, supported by knowledge of behavioural and learning theories; familiarity with security culture and behaviours is a plus.Significant experience in designing and delivering end-to-end learning programs with a variety of effective L&D methods, including digital design (e-learning, infographics, digital collateral, etc.).Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with Director and MD-level leaders, coupled with a passion for colleague development, self-motivation, and effective facilitation skills.Experience translating technical messages into learning content.

Experience designing and delivering both technical and non-technical training to support technology deployment.Strong understanding of change management principles and techniques for leading change initiatives, helping people through change journeys, and applying behaviour change knowledge.

Purpose of the role

To manage change projects that help the organisation achieve its strategic objectives, while ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, in control and in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures. 

Accountabilities

Management of change projects within the organisation, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and to the required quality standards.Development and management of project plans that outline the scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements for change projects.Communication with stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and external partners, to ensure that they are informed about project progress and that their needs and expectations are being met.Management of project teams, ensuring that they are properly resourced and that they have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver on project objectives.Management of project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within the agreed budget.Creation of reports on project progress to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.Management of project risks, ensuring that risk, assumptions, issues and dependencies are identified, assessed, and mitigated as necessary.Facilitation of change management activities, including training and communication, to ensure that change projects are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.
