Security Manager, Senior
General Summary Provide administrative, Acquisition Security, Personnel Security, Information Protection (IP), Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP), and Operations Security (OPSEC), COMSEC, Foreign Military Sales Security, support during the capabilities planning/pre-acquisition, acquisition, development, production and sustainment phases of various equipment and weapon systems within the framework of the defense acquisition management system. Tasks may include, but are not limited to: participation on IPTs and related activities, analyzing problems, defining alternative solutions, providing recommendations, writing reports, and accomplishing specifically assigned work as defined in individual tasks orders. Principal Duties and Responsibilities + Personnel Security is the focus of this position. + Additional duties required as needed: provide administrative assistance, Acquisition Security, Information Protection (IP), Industrial Security, Information Security, Physical Security, Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP), Operations Security (OPSEC), Communications Security (COMSEC), and International Program Security support to the Directorate’s Security Division and Weapon System Program Offices during the capabilities planning/pre-acquisition, acquisition, development, production and sustainment phases of various equipment and weapon systems within the framework of the defense acquisition management system. + Comply with the U.S. State Department's ITAR (22 Code of Federal Regulations [CFR] Parts 120-130 and Amendments), the Arms Export Control Act, Defense Trade Security Initiatives, State Department, USAF, and DoD policies relative to the ITAR and exporting and importing data especially for non-FMS cases. + Level 1 Security Fundamentals Professional Certification granted by Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Program is required for all positions within two (2) years of hire date. Required SkillsRequired Experience One of the following combinations of education/experience: + + MA/MS, twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD -OR- + BA/BS and Fifteen (15) years of experience in the respective/technical professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD -OR- + HS Diploma and twenty (20) years of directly related experience, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD + U.S. Citizenship required; Active Secret clearance required to start. Ability to obtain/maintain a Top-Secret security clearance is required. Preferred Qualifications + Personnel Security (PERSEC) experience. + Ability to develop/teach/mentor journeyman civilian/contractors and improve internal processes.
