SOSi is seeking a Security Manager to join our team supporting our operations in Reston, VA.
**Essential Job Duties**
+ Acts as a liaison between the company and multiple customer agencies for status checks and submission of required security documentation.
+ Prepares and submits e-QIP case files for initial personnel security investigations and periodic reinvestigations.
+ Gives advice and assistance to employees preparing security documents via e-QIP.
+ Prepares and submits derogatory information reports.
+ Uses multiple internal and government security databases to include DISS.
+ Performs oversight of personnel security processes to include quality control in the processing of all employees, consultants, and subcontractors.
+ Issue security badges for access to the facility.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Active in scope Secret clearance for access to classified information.
+ Associate's degree in related field.
+ Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the Industrial Security field or related position.
+ Experienced in handling personal and confidential information and show a strong orientation for customer service and organization.
+ Understanding of U.S. Government suitability requirements.
+ Must possess a customer focus, tactful attitude, and attention to detail.
+ Possess experience in industrial security and basic knowledge of the National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM).
+ Experience with the use of DISS and e-QIP are a must.
+ Ability to multitask in fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
+ Excellent interpersonal and staff management skills.
+ Strong communication skills in both verbal and written.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS word, Excel, PowerPoint).
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Bachelors Degree in related field.
+ Experience with DHS suitability process is preferred.
**Work Environment**
+ Working conditions as normal for an office environment with 3 days in the office with 2 days optional remote work.
+ Ability to travel for extended period during mobilization, then periodic travel over the life of the contract.
+ Ability to work non-traditional hours including consecutive nights and weekends when necessary; shift work required.
+ Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and pressure.
+ Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment.
