About this opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Security Manager with a positive team player attitude to lead and drive government security strategy, awareness, account risk management, and the implementation and ongoing monitoring and improvement of security controls for a large UK mobile network operator account.
What you will do: Lead government security activities and serve as the primary security liaison for the account and customer.Build strong relationships with the customer and account team, gaining their confidence to achieve positive security outcomes.Collaborate and align with other Security SMEs.Influence a broad range of teams to support achieving desired security compliance and customer satisfaction.Manage security requirements in accordance with contractual obligations, global and local regulations, and organizational processes, while providing expert advice and support to stakeholders.Conduct audits and security assessments to maintain compliance, manage security risks, and develop remediation plans for identified risks, ensuring business continuity.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate all security considerations into the overall project delivery plan.Setting up SIEM Monitoring & Logging processes Support automation delivery into the customer account.Address and resolve any security-related incidents effectively.Provide regular updates and reports on the security status.The skills you bring: Interpersonal Skills: Must be confident in leading security discussions with the customer and account team. Capable of making risk-based decisions and delivering changes that impact teams outside of their control, where influencing and relationship-building are essential.Education: Relevant industry security qualification (e.g., CISSP/CISM or equivalent) to demonstrate depth of knowledge in Information Security.Experience: Minimum of 3 years in security engineering or security management, preferably with a focus on UK telecom security, and understanding of government services in Lawful Intercept.Domain Expertise: Good awareness of security and privacy frameworks, customer delivery security, and preferably some experience and/or awareness of different security controls in the mobile network core domain. Practical experience with ISO/IEC 2700-series, NIST 800-series, GDPR, Risk Management, and principles of Information Security, Business Continuity, and Crisis Management.Business Acumen: Sound understanding of business processes, risk management, and change management practices.Security Clearance: Either holds SC or is able to meet the clearance requirements.
Preferred Skills:
Strong risk management capabilities to identify, assess, and mitigate potential security threats.Strong change and improvement management skills.
