Security Manager
Overview M.C. Dean is currently looking to hire a Site Security Manager for our facility in Ruther Glen, Caroline County, Virginia. The campus currently consists of five structures, including administrative, manufacturing and warehouse space. The Site Security Manager (SSM) will report to the Vice President of Corporate Security, however will be responsible for working effectively with the campus leadership team. Duties include: + Supervising the activities and rotation of a contract security force of four people. + Inspecting the campus and buildings daily to identify any security issues or security maintenance requirements.. + Ensuring appropriate reports on Security matters are accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner. + Work effectively and collaborate with other members of M.C. Dean Security and groups including, but not limited to: MCD Leadership Team, Strategic Business Units, Human Resources, Safety, Logistics, Manufacturing and Warehousing. + Respond to off-hour alarms or incidents when required. + Monitor and be able to export security footage to authorized persons. + Ensure all visitors and deliveries are recorded and escorted by responsible parties. + Maintain physical security of the campus by ensuring rapid repair to security systems, gates, fences, cameras, etc… + Ensure all employees, contractors, visitors are appropriately badged. Assist with the creation and updating of access badges. + Ensure all M.C. Dean Security policies and approved client security procedures are followed. + Collaborate with Law Enforcement and Fire/EMS as needed/required. + Assist with any and all audit requirements. + Conduct any additional required duties as identified and needed. Candidate qualifications: + At least eight years of successful performance in Law Enforcement or Security, with at least three years of successful supervisory experience with a Bachelor's degree. + Six to eight years of experience with a Master's degree or thirteen to fifteen with a high school diploma / GED. + Positive and professional attitude and conduct. + Proactive and constructive in problem solving. + Strong work ethic. + Must be able to successfully pass an in depth background check and drug test. + Must be willing and able to successfully obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Government security clearance. + Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English. Additional language capabilities are an asset. + Work will require the ability to do extensive walking, sitting for long periods behind a computer screen, typing communications, safely driving a vehicle on the campus grounds, be exposed to various weather conditions, lifting up to 35lbs. Normal working hours will be Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. Some night, weekend, and holiday work should be expected. **Abilities:** 1. Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time. 2. Sitting for extended periods of time. 3. Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction. 4. Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard. 5. Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. 6. Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. 7. Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. 8. Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. 9. Identify and understand the speech of another person.
