**_Kimpton Fitzroy Hotel is in the heart of Bloomsbury just a 2 minute walk from Russell Square tube station where the Piccadilly line runs 24hrs a day on Fridays and Saturdays!_**
As a **Security Manager,** we will support you to:

As an integral role within the business, the Security Manager will ensure a high standard of security is always maintained throughout the hotel, including systems and processes, including ensuring the Hotel Fire Alarm system is in working order and tests are carried out weekly and be the lead for all health and safety within the hotel.
As part of this role, you will deliver inductions and the ongoing departmental training ensuring that all security officers maintain a high level of professional conduct and customer care. You will be expected to liaise regularly with the local police, Local Authority and relevant regulatory organisations ensuring accurate information on security issues that may affect the hotel and/or local area are well communicated. You will work proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to guest enquiries.
Having a good investigative ability is a must, as you will need to produce clear and detailed reports along with recommendations. You will help build an inclusive working environment where new ideas are welcome and best practices can be shared, fostering a culture of growth, development, and performance within the department.
Due to the nature of the role the ideal candidate will have a fully flexible approach to working hours as you will be required to cover ad hoc shifts including weekends and nights.
**Critical expertise & recent experience:**
+ Minimum three years of experience leading a security department in a global hotel brand of similar classification.
+ Proven people leadership experience, with responsibility for managing a security team and department.
+ SIA (Security Industry Authority) license holder and First Aid trained (mandatory).
+ Testing and record-keeping for fire, life, and safety (FLS) systems and ensuring compliance.
+ Working in all aspects of Security, including CCTV, and Person/ Building Protection.
+ Executing remedial actions from fire risk assessments, ensuring safety and legal compliance.
+ Sourcing and managing contractors for technical services and security-related projects.
+ Developing a full security risk assessment and implementing corrective actions.
+ Updating technology infrastructure for security and surveillance systems.
+ Passionate about delivering great service and have a great understanding of Health and Safety.
+ Willing to learn new things and work as part of a wider hotel team.
**Technical Skills & Knowledge:**
+ Proficiency in hotel security systems and operational tools, such as: Knowcross, BMS, CCTV Surveillance Systems, Procure Wizard, Opera PMS, UKG.
+ Must have knowledge of electronic locking systems for guest bedrooms.
+ Has in-depth knowledge of brand safety standards.
+ Is up to date with critical issues, security updates, technology and other areas of concern relating to security management.
+ Must have knowledge of CCTV and Access Control systems.
