About the Role
Due to continued growth across the region, Babcock are seeking a dynamic Security Manager to lead and manage security functions supporting AUKUS related activities. In this role, you will ensure compliance with the Defence Industry Security Program, national security regulations, and contractual obligations with Defence and government partners.
As the Security Manager, you'll be at the forefront of safeguarding personnel, facilities, and classified information while supporting business operations and growth. You'll provide expert guidance on emerging security threats, policy developments, and best practices to the Executive Committee and senior leadership. You'll also develop and manage a high-performing security team, drive cultural change, and foster a security-conscious workforce across multiple sites.
In this role, you'll develop and implement a comprehensive security strategy aligned with business objectives and evolving regulatory frameworks. You'll maintain and enhance H&B DISP accreditation and act as the primary security liaison for Defence, Government agencies, and external stakeholders. You'll provide regular security briefings and risk assessments to ensure informed decision-making, oversee intelligence gathering, risk assessments, and threat analysis, and develop and maintain business continuity plans.

To be successful, you will bring:
Australian Citizen with a Defence security clearance (or the ability to obtain). Tertiary qualifications in security, risk management, defence, intelligence, or a related discipline. Extensive experience in defence security management, including DISP accreditation and AGSVA security clearance processes. In-depth understanding of DSPF, PSPF, ASIO Technical Notes, and national security frameworks. Proven experience in executive security advisory, with the ability to engage at a senior leadership level. Demonstrated ability to lead multi-site security teams, develop high-performing teams, and drive a strong security culture. Experience conducting security risk assessments, investigations, and incident response planning. Strong knowledge of physical, personnel, and cyber security integration within the defence industry.
