Security Officer – Armed Government Office

As a Security Officer – Armed Government Office in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attention to detail contribute to a secure environment for all occupants. You will interact with the public, provide clear communication, and deliver exceptional customer service. Responsibilities:

Provide customer service by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.Assist in helping to deter unauthorized activity through visible presence and adherence to protocols.Document and report security-related incidents and observations according to site requirements.Collaborate with local authorities and emergency responders when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have an Armed Designation as required by applicable laws and regulations.Must be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or possess an equivalent qualification.Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
