What You'll Be DoingThe Security Officer ensures a safe, secure healing environment for patients, staff, and visitors; as well as ensuring the protection of property from harm as a result of acts of violations of laws, policy, procedures or regulatory requirements 24 hours a day.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Reports all doors that are left open after hours or unattended officesDirects visitors, patients, vendors to correct locations; distributes passesPerforms unit/building clock tours dailyConducts security rounds for safety violationsReports all hazardous conditions to the proper departmentsMonitors cameras / alarms at command postsInvestigates all (police type) incident reportsPerforms other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For High School diploma or equivalent Must have valid NJ Driver's License Ability to complete a Health Care Security and Safety CertificationSORA license preferredWith 1-2 years related experience, hospital setting preferred
