Summary: Provides a visual and physical deterrent to crime on the hospital campus while promoting a good customer service relationship with patients, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities: + All patients, visitors, and staff are served by providing 24-hour electronic and physical observation of the hospital campus in an effort to provide a secure working environment. + Ensures that all hospital safety and security, policies and procedures are conformed with on a day-to-day basis. Other information: **EDUCATION REQUIREMENT** + High school or Equivalent **PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT** + Three years experience in security, civilian/military law enforcement or an equivalent military career field. **LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION** + Valid North Carolina Driver License required. + Basic Law Enforcement Training Certification (BLET) preferred, but not required. **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS** + Officers are expected to possess a minimal proficiency in typing text, answering telephones and interviewing people.
