Where You Will Work  

Climax Molybdenum is the world’s leading producer of molybdenum and has a long, successful history of doing business safely, efficiently and responsibly. We have operated in Colorado for more than 100 years, with mining and milling operations near Leadville, Kremmling and Empire. Our Climax Mine is located between Frisco and Leadville – the seat of Lake County and the highest incorporated city in the United States. 

 

Employees who are required to work on-site are eligible for a $1,450 monthly housing allowance, provided they meet program guidelines.

What You Will Do Perform a variety of patrol, security, emergency response and customer service duties at assigned location.  Greet and log in all visitors and vendors at entrance gate  Notify appropriate personnel or department of arrival  Direct visitors and vendors to destination  Enforce company policies and procedures  Perform frequent patrols of the property  Walk, bicycles, or drives vehicle on irregularly scheduled rounds of property  Observe conditions of equipment, grounds and facilities  Pick up litter or debris as needed, or arranges clean-up with maintenance crews  Report damages or areas in need of repair to the Maintenance Supervisor  Conduct surveillance of locations or areas in which vandalism or criminal activities have been noted  Assist with and trained for emergency situations  Collaborate with police officers in the prevention of crime  Work with fire response units for fire suppression, and with medical emergency response units in the event of emergency situations, at the assigned location  Provide basic emergency medical response (e.g. performs CPR, gives basic first aid) when needed  Perform other duties as required  What You Bring To Freeport Current CPR and first aid certifications, as required by specific site location  Skilled in responding appropriately to emergency and conflict situations  Knowledge of site rules, regulations, policies and procedures  Knowledgeable of the site topography and locations of emergency equipment and access points  Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing  Preferred Qualifications High School diploma or GED 

What We Offer You 

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $15.50 - $21.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process. What We Require   

Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam.   Candidates must pass all required training and/or testing.   Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule, which may include shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365-day operation.   Freeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol-free work environment using mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going drug and alcohol testing, as allowed by applicable laws.
