UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health is seeking a Security Officer to join our team at Soliders and Sailors Memorial Hospital in PENN YAN, NY. This position works overnights, 8 hours shifts. Must be NYS Security Guard Licensed and have a valid NYS Driver's License prior to hire. We offer benefits and generous PTO! + + + POSITION SUMMARY: + Under the supervision of the Security Supervisor, performs duties which help to maintain the security of the building, grounds, and all persons therein. Provides patient observations as ordered by a physician. + QUALIFICATIONS: + EDUCATION: + Minimum: + High School education required. + LICENSE: + Minimum: + Valid NYS driver's license clear of violations consistent with FLH Policy + PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS: + Minimum: + NYS Security Guard Registration, which includes completion of 8-hour pre-assignment training. + Preferred : + 16-hour Security Guard course, CPI obtained within 90 days of hire. + BLS required through the RQI system during clinical orientation. + WORK EXPERIENCE: + Preferred: + Previous security experience. + SKILLS: + Minimum: + Must have a good driving history and be able to travel to multiple locations on any given day as requested. + Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the people in a professional and courteous manner. + Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. + Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
