Weekly Hours: 48 hours
Hourly Rate: £14.50
Shifts:
Day: 07:00 – 19:00 Night: 19:00 – 07:00 Vehicle Patrols: 09:00 – 20:00 Your Responsibilities Patrol Duties Conduct hourly vehicle patrols of the airfield, including service, access, and support roads, ensuring hazard lights are used at all times. Inspect gates, perimeter fences, and internal areas for signs of damage or security risks, reporting any issues immediately. Monitor and report lighting failures, road damage, and any evidence of damage to equipment, buildings, or materials. Staff Patrols Perform daily inspections of gates to enclaved areas and conduct weekly checks on unused airfield buildings. Respond to intruder alerts with appropriate urgency—contacting police or emergency services when necessary. Verify fire evacuation signage is visible and correctly positioned. Operations and Compliance Maintain full compliance with site-specific Assignment Instructions (AIs). Wear and maintain your SIA front-line licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision) at all times. Follow systematic and orderly processes, ensuring adherence to legal and safety requirements. Health & Safety Stay alert to potential hazards, reporting risks promptly. Use initiative to manage unexpected situations calmly and professionally. Document incidents thoroughly in notebooks and reports for accurate record-keeping. What We're Looking For Experience: Previous security experience is essential. Licensing: SIA Door Supervisor (DS) License required. A valid driving licence is a must (you will have to be able to go for mobile patrols). Skills: Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with self-motivation and reliability.
