Pay rate: £13.02 PH (Salaried £28.602.07 PA)
Hours: Full time - 42 hours on average per week
Shifts - 4 on 4 off Rolling nights and days shift pattern
Shift times 0700-1900 + 1900-0700 - Paid Breaks
Job Overview:
Mitie is looking for security officers who can deliver unprecedented customer service whilst creating a safe shopping environment, free from crime and the fear of crime for customers and colleagues. Working in a Shopping Centre Environment no 2 days are the same.
About the working location:
Festival Place is a 1.1m sq. ft shopping centre situated in the heart of Basingstoke, just off the M3, housing over 140 big brand stores including Next, Marks & Spencer, Apple, and H&M. It is home to over 20 mouthwatering eateries including BrewDog, Côte Brasserie, Las Iguanas, Ask Italian, Pizza Express, Wagamama, Pret, Five Guys, and Nando's and a 10 screen Vue multiplex cinema. Festival Place provides you with a safe experience whilst visiting. We employ a number of overt security measures, but also operate a number of unseen, covert security measures for your protection. Main duties:
To deliver industry leading customer service To deter violence, public order or ASB offences To conduct patrols of the premises. Liaising between CCTV Operators and The Duty Management Team to support the reduction of crime and stock loss for our retailers. Liaise with the store management teams and carrying our regular "Buddy" Store visits to assist with Crime prevention advice, identification of offenders and crime reporting. Work in collaboration with the Police and key partners where required to foster a great working relationship to reinforce the reduction of crime in the Town Centre To wear Body Worn CCTV to bolster up in the reduction of crime and increase colleague and customer safety To highlight and address any H&S concerns Testing of Live safety systems as required Attending Fire Alarm activations and assisting in evacuations in accordance with the Centres emergency plans.
