In this role, there is the opportunity to - + Patrol UPMC hospitals, buildings, grounds, and associated areas to establish a uniformed security presence and deter criminal activity. + Monitor security, fire, and environmental alarms; respond to alarms and provide assistance as needed. + Provide customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff, ensuring a safe and secure environment. + Inspect incoming and outgoing parcels to prevent theft and ensure security procedures are followed. + Respond to and resolve problems, disputes, and unusual circumstances promptly and effectively. + Assist with traffic control and vehicle-related concerns, ensuring smooth operations and safety. + Transport deceased individuals to the morgue and handle body releases as necessary. + Document incidents, suspicious activities, and hazards accurately in required reports.
