Summary The mission of the Antitrust Division is to promote competition by enforcing the antitrust laws to protect economic freedom and opportunity on behalf of the American people. The Antitrust Division has an opening for a Security Officer to join its dedicated team and gain invaluable experience working in the public interest to protect the competitive process. Responsibilities This position is located in the Security and Facilities Management Section (SFMS) of the Executive Office (EXO) within the Antitrust Division (ATR). EXO is a very dynamic and fast paced office, delivering the professional management services that power ATR's people and mission. Within EXO, SFMS handles space and facilities services, and safety and security programs. As a Security Officer, responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to: Planning, directing, and administering the security and facilities management program for the Antitrust Division under delegated authority. Serving as the Division's Security Program Manager (SPM). Supervising and overseeing the Division's space and facilities management and Continuity of Operations (COOP) program. Performing special projects and studies requiring in-depth research and analysis of Division facilities, space, safety, and security programs. Requirements Conditions of Employment You must be a U.S. Citizen to be considered for this position. You must undergo a pre-employment security investigation. DIRECT DEPOSIT: All Federal employees are required to have Federal salary payments made by direct deposit to a financial institution of their choosing. Due to the nature of this position and in accordance with the Department of Justice Attorney General Memorandum "Return to In-Person Work" dated February 5, 2025 the incumbent will be expected to report to an ATR building in Washington DC. Qualifications To qualify for this position at the GS-15 level, your resume must reflect at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level. Specialized experience is experience that has provided you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position as described above, and that is typically in or related to this position being filled. This experience must be identified in your resume. Specialized experience at the GS-14 level includes but is not limited to: Directing organizational programs that involve program management; developing programs that perform technical, administrative, protective, investigative, or professional work; planning and execution of major administrative programs for facilities, space, security and occupational safety management.
