Under the direction of security supervisors and managers, the incumbent provides basic security coverage ensuring that adequate protection is provided for the safety of patrons and team members. Safeguards the assets of the organization as well as those of its guests and team members. Promotes an outgoing, friendly guest oriented demeanor at all times.
Responsibilities Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Alcohol Gaming Commission Ontario (AGCO) Regulations.Ensures that proper security is provided for all transfers of monies within the casino.Assist patrons with a wide variety of inquiries and situations including providing information about the property and events, giving directions and possibly escorting them if necessary.Prepare detailed incident reports in a clear and precise manner.Patrol the casino areas to establish a security presence and report all unusual situations and/or suspicious persons.Assist in the coordination and resolution of emergency situations.Assist in maintaining proper key control.Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate managers of concerns and observations.Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication.Ensure prompt and discreet notification to managers of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.Other duties as assigned.Lives the Brand QualificationsEXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS
A minimum of a post-secondary diploma in Law and Security preferredWorking knowledge of computer application packagesA current First Aid/CPR Certificate, along with Non Violent Intervention Technique CertificateThe ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of OntarioAbility to gain certifaction with Smart Serve Ontario.SKILLSStrong analytical, verbal and written communication skillsWorking knowledge of computer software packagesPrevious gaming experience or knowledge of the gaming industryPHYSICAL DEMANDSAbility to stand and sit for extended periods ofAbility to walkWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell.
