Security Officer

Full Time 40 hours weekly

Three 12-hour shifts and one 6-hour shift weekly.

6 am -6p on 12 hour shifts.

Rotating schedule with every other weekend off

Job Description

The Security Officer provides security and protection to the person and property of those entering Baptist Health Paducah and secondary buildings associated with the operations of Baptist Health buildings, equipment, supplies, and report any misuse of any hospital buildings, equipment, and properties.

Job Duties

Answers all calls for service and answers questions concerning these calls or responds accordingly.Enforce or assist in the enforcement of hospital policies and procedures, as directed by administration, in a manner that will protect the legal rights of the hospital, and the person involved.Able to assist and complete required fire checks (Fire Extinguishers and Exit Signs on a monthly basis).Afterhours checks on off-site buildings to maintain security.Follows Hospital and departmental Policies and procedures. Shall successfully pass use of Force training.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GEDMust have valid Driver’s LicenseMust obtain BLS within three months of hire. Use of Force certification, including exposure to OC spray, pressure points and control tactics and Taser training within six months.

Preferred Requirements

Two years’ experience in the field of Law Enforcement, Security, Military, and/or Corrections.
