This position will be part of the Enterprise Security team, which embeds security protection statewide. The Security Operations Analyst is responsible for analyzing and improving the operational efficiency of MNIT's Enterprise Security Office (ESO) teams and related workgroups. This role involves evaluating IT operations, business processes, and service delivery to identify inefficiencies and areas of improvement. Using advanced data analytical tools, the Security Operations Analyst will uncover patterns and trends, develop actionable recommendations, and implement solutions to optimize performance. Key responsibilities include: + Analyzing operational workflows to pinpoint inefficiencies and propose innovative solutions. + Gathering and analyzing data to identify trends and provide data-driven recommendations. + Designing and implementing new processes, workflows, or technologies to enhance operational performance. + Monitoring the effectiveness of implemented changes through KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement. + Collaborating with stakeholders to communicate findings, build consensus, and drive organizational change. (https://mn.gov/mnit/about-mnit/careers/hiringprocess.jsp) **:** Position requires a minimum of four (4) years of IT related experience in process analysis, documentation of operational models, and data analysis using tools like Power BI. Experience must include: + Experience documenting as-is, transitional, and to-be models. + Experience using Visio to create process diagrams and models and Power BI and data analysis to identify trends and inform decision-making. + Collecting and organizing information from various sources like system documentation, staff interviews, general research to understand and achieve strong conclusions and recommendations. + Experience with various testing methodologies to ensure product or end result meets specifications and requirements. + Experience collaborating across functional borders including business and IT teams. + Ability to identify problems, determine their cause, and develop practical solutions to meet organizational needs. + Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties. + Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.
