Role Summary We seek an experienced SOC (Security Operations Center) Analyst, to join our dynamic Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC) within the Enterprise Cybersecurity team. As SOC (Security Operations Center) Analyst, you will be a vital part of the security team responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents within the organization's network and information systems. This role will involve leveraging your technical skills to detect and investigate security threats, contribute to incident response efforts, and support the overall security posture of the organization. We're eager to welcome a dedicated, passionate, and skilled candidate to our team Responsibilities -Constantly monitor security alerts and events to identify potential threats -Conduct in-depth analysis of security incidents to determine the scope, impact, and appropriate response -Execute incident response procedures to contain and mitigate security incidents promptly -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a coordinated and effective response to security events -Prioritize and triage security alerts to identify false positives and true security incidents -Develop and maintain efficient processes for alert handling and investigation -Leverage threat intelligence tools to enhance proactive threat detection and response capabilities -Integrate threat intelligence into daily monitoring and analysis activities -Utilize project management for tracking and managing security incidents and tasks -Collaborate with IT and development teams using Atlassian tools to facilitate communication and incident resolution -Demonstrate basic knowledge of SIEM tools for centralized log management and real-time analysis of security alerts -Implement and enforce data security measures to protect sensitive information -Demonstrate proficiency in understanding and applying OWASP's top 10 principles. Familiar with the MITRE framework and its practice -Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices -Perform SOC duties across all three shifts, ensuring 24/7 coverage for monitoring and responding to security events -Possess comprehensive knowledge of cloud security principles and practices -Understand and implement effective endpoint security measures to safeguard organizational assets Qualifications -Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or experience in a related field -Proven experience as a SOC Analyst or in a similar cybersecurity role -Strong understanding of event and alert triage processes -Proficient in The Hive and other incident response tools -Familiarity with cloud security platforms and endpoint protection solutions -Basic knowledge of SIEM and data security -Experience with Jira and the Atlassian Suite -Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills -Effective communication and collaboration skills -Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced international team dynamic environment -Strong attention to detail and accuracy -Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on cybersecurity trends Equal Opportunity Rivian is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
