Role Overview:
Leidos UK are looking for a Security Operations Team Lead to join team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor the security helpdesk inbox and phone on a rota basis between 9am and 5pm Mon-Fri to provide timely 1st line security supportComplete Security Operation activities within the UK Security Service Centre. These activities include but are not limited to; processing leavers from the business, production of staff access passes, and approving system and service access requestsProvide direction and support to Security Operations Administrators on a daily basis, prioritising workloads in line with current business needs.Consolidate escalations and report effectively to the Personnel Security ManagerProvide travel security advice and guidance to those personnel undertaking business travel or those personnel undertaking personal travel whom hold a clearance or have a requirement to travel with business assets and develop the necessary supporting processes to be supported by the Security Operations AdministratorsManage minor Security incidents in line with the company Incident Management PlanReview all Data Loss Prevention (DLP) reports and manage via the Incident management process where requiredSupport the delivery of education and awareness initiatives such as security inductionsControl all incoming and outgoing visits including international visits ensuring denied party screening and national security vetting checks have been completed and recorded appropriatelyEnsure that all required policy, processes and procedures are documented and up to date for all activities conducted by the Security Operations Administrators the SSC Security Operations ManualMeet SLAs and KPIs for the Security Service Centre providing advance notice and proposed mitigations for when these will not be metManage the Security team business rhythms to ensure all regular team activities are properly documented, in date, completed when due and supported by up to date and fit for purpose processes and work instructionsMaintain an awareness of and conduct spot checks of compliance with the processes supported by the Security Operations AdministratorsAttend a weekly meeting with the Personnel Security Manager to discuss any issues that require escalation, process improvement activities and team performance.Develop and maintain a professional network of contacts and peers within both industry security and Customer communities to allow flawless execution of the Leidos UK strategyProvide additional support to the Head of Security and Personnel Security Manager on priority security matters as they ariseProactively drive automation and process improvement into all Security Operations process and proceduresProvide further support in line with leadership requirements including supporting the security on-call rotaClearance Requirements:
