**Job Posting End Date** 10-03-2025 Please note the job posting will close on the day before the posting end date. **Job Summary** Responsible for moderate-scale security assignments with limited direction from senior team members. Develops and maintains necessary documentation of security systems, projects, and/or processes to ensure unified understanding of system details. Work closely with Security technical teams on security controls assessments through application security testing, penetration testing or other means to ensure controls effectiveness. Identifies and documents potential mitigations/remediations and creates reports of findings with identified risk response. Participates in the review, evaluation, and recommendation of emerging security technologies. More involved in advanced level implementation, support, and/or usage of technical solutions. Assists with problem solving, decision-making, and functional area knowledge. **Job Description** **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:** + Serve as the primary point of contact between cybersecurity functions and assigned technology/business units. + Participate in security projects and initiatives, providing direction and recommendations. + Oversee cybersecurity readiness activities and deliver final security sign-off on Projects to stakeholders / PMs. + Collaborate with PMO to ensure cybersecurity engagement throughout project phases. + Maintain strategic relationships to integrate cybersecurity into the organizational culture. + Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for cybersecurity projects, policies, and standards. + Strengthen relationships with business analysts and Project Managers to incorporate cybersecurity in project planning and execution. + Gather and analyze security requirements to identify cost-effective improvements. + Follow risk remediation protocols to mitigate issues and track exceptions according to established frameworks. + Engage constructively with business partners on cybersecurity matters and establish risk ownership. + Inform partners of risk implications in critical decisions using empirical analysis and expert judgment. + Analyze risks within business contexts and communicate complex information clearly and effectively. + Educate internal stakeholders on cybersecurity controls, processes, tools, and best practices. + Research and present new opportunities for enhancing security posture. + Efficiently manage time and resources across multiple assignments while formulating effective work plans. **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:** **Security Spec Sr (SG 7):** Education: Bachelor's degree or associate degree with 2 years relevant experience in system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical) OR High School Diploma/GED with 3 years relevant experience in IT system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical); OR graduation from an approved Cybersecurity Program; alternatively, may have non-degree qualifications (such as hands-on demonstrated ability in a technical interview/assessment). Experience: 2 or more years of Information Technology related experience; OR 1 or more years of security related experience, which may include military/government work experience in addition to any experience identified above. **Security Spec Prin (SG 8):** Education: Bachelor's degree or associate degree with 2 years relevant experience in system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical) OR High School Diploma/GED with 4 years relevant experience in IT system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical); OR graduation from an approved Cybersecurity Program; alternatively, may have non-degree qualifications (such as hands-on demonstrated ability in a technical interview/assessment). Experience: 4 or more years of Information Technology related experience; OR 2 or more years of security related experience, which may include military/government work experience in addition to any experience identified above. **OTHER REQUIREMENTS:** Licenses/Certifications: CISSP or other Security certification preferred **WHAT YOU WILL GET:** **Security Spec Sr (SG 7): $85,081 - $106,353** **Security Spec Prin (SG 8): $96,110 - $124,940** **Compensation Data** **Compensation Grade:** SP20-008 **Compensation Range:** $96,110.00-124,940.00 USD The Physical Demand Level for this job is: S – Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
