Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Security Specialist to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

Primary duties include Physical Security (PHYSEC), Access Control, Personnel Security (PERSEC), Communications Security (COMSEC), Operations Security (OPSEC), and Safety for the classified facilityManage access control for the secure facility, including managing, monitoring, and controlling the Security Management System (SMS)Monitor for and report any subversive activities affecting classified information, the facility, or personnelMonitor and control destruction of classified and sensitive informationConducting security training and educationUse JPAS, DISS and Scattered Castles to perform personnel security functionsCourier classified materialsCreate, coordinate and distribute security and safety communicationsDevelop, administer, and maintain Standard Operating Policies/Procedures for classified facilities as well as classified and/or proprietary materials, documentation, and equipmentAccredit and audit open storage areas in secure facilitiesMaintain, monitor, arm, and disarm the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and review IDS reportsConduct safety and security inspections as requiredStudy, understand, and implement DoD and Army security regulations, policies, and proceduresPrepare manuals; outline regulations and establish procedures for handling, storing, and keeping recordsGrant personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materialsInvestigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive actions to be takenServe as COMSEC Local Element authorized to control COMSEC for systems within SCIF

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Must have an active TS/SCI level security clearance

Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated relevant experience

Experience working in security capacity with Army, Joint Staff, and/or DoD organizationsMilitary experienceProficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and PowerPointSelf-motivated with strong oral and written communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail to operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Salary Range: 

$83,300.00 - $145,800.00
