Summary You will serve as a Security Specialist in the Security Department of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. Responsibilities You will serve as an assistant to the Security Manager and are responsible for the administrative support for the Personnel Security Program for the NAVSUP WSS Enterprise. You will assist in the evaluation of the sensitivity classification for positions by applying the sensitivity criteria. You will screen and submit trustworthiness investigations and coordinate security clearances for all Military, Civilian, and government contractors assigned to NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support. You will support the Command Information Security Program and adhere to regulations regarding the control and protection of classified documents and materials. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications FOR GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing and implementing security instructions as they relate to Personnel, Information, and Industrial Security to ensure security compliance; 2) Analyzing and resolving problems using security concepts, principles, and practices; 3) Reviewing and ensuring submitted paperwork meet acceptability criteria and taking appropriate action to resolve discrepancies or incomplete information; 4) Coordinating reports and adjudicating security violations for potential security compromises of classified information; 5) Managing an established security awareness program to ensure proper security information dissemination; 6) Interpreting new or existing security instructions and review/implement and/or rewrite procedures pertaining to the work of the security department; 7) Conducting indoctrinations, security awareness trainings, and debriefings and assisting the security manager in administering Anti-Terrorism and security programs. FOR GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing and implementing security instructions as they relate to Personnel, Information, and Industrial Security to ensure security compliance; 2) Analyzing and resolving problems using security concepts, principles, and practices; 3) Reviewing and ensuring submitted paperwork meet acceptability criteria and taking appropriate action to resolve discrepancies or incomplete information; 4) Coordinating reports and adjudicating security violations for potential security compromises of classified information; 5) Managing an established security awareness program to ensure proper security information dissemination.
