SECURITY SPECIALIST
Summary You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the OPERATIONS DIRECTORATE of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND. Responsibilities You will serve as the subject matter expert to review and approve all construction, expansion, or modifications to Special Access Program Facilities (SAPFs) for accreditation. You will manage all aspects of the Special Access Program Security education and awareness program for personnel within the command, components and subordinate commands. You will assist Joint Staff, DIA and NSA in the evaluation of current and future requirements for SAP facilities within the theater. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-13: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector . Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Provides security direction, guidance, and oversight for security control; 2) Assists in the evaluation of current and future requirements for SAP (Special Access Program ) facilities within the theater; 3) Implements, manages, and provides detailed guidance/explanation on national-level directives applicable to the SAPs; 4) Manages all aspects of the Special Access Security education and awareness program for personnel within the command, components and subordinate commands; and 5) Independently evaluates investigation reports for thoroughness and applies critical thought on root cause analysis. GS-12: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector . This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
