SECURITY SPECIALIST

Summary You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the COMMANDER SECURITY OFFICE of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. Responsibilities You will work with high-level OSD officials from various offices and agencies, to find solutions and reach consensus for complex and frequently unique program protection issues. You will lead personnel including military officers, civilians and contractors, to ensure program protection considerations, especially that security engineering designs are incorporated into the entire air system. You will manage a multi-million dollar budget authority to provide for security staffs performing and executing to policy and guidance. You will monitor performance and outcomes of computer scientists and system security engineers to ensure correct skillsets are matrixed to the technical and engineering IPTs to overcome an array of technical security challenges. You will independently seek solutions to problems and integrate National, DoD and Service(s) policies into specifically tailored guidance for the entire F-35 Program, regardless of geographical location or service affiliation. You will analyze and assess horizontal and vertical program protection requirements from the full dimension protection perspective, including traditional security disciplines such as information, personnel, industrial, and physical security. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or DA-05 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Ability to read and understand construction architectural drawings; 2) Proficiency in SCIF and SAPF construction and accreditation for US and non-US entities; 3) Working in a technical and/or acquisition background, preferably in aircraft, or air vehicle systems; 4) Working in classified environments, to include Special Access Required (SAR) environments; 5) Working as a Physical Security Specialist, or Industrial Security Specialist; 6) Working with DoD and services security references, regulations, and instructions pertaining to industrial security requirements; and 7) Advising foreign government and industry officials with secure area constructions, accreditation, and security program management.
