Security Specialist

The Security Specialist is responsible for the general physical safety of the facility. They will maintain physical safety and security systems including surveillance systems, automated security systems, associate ID systems, and fire alarm/sprinkler systems. They will assist with system selection, installation and configuration and ensure that existing security systems meet organizational needs and appropriately protect the organization’s associates and facilities. They will inspect safety and security systems to ensure that they are in proper working order and arrange for maintenance or repair as needed.

Essential Duties: 

\n\nMaking, correcting, and de-activating access badges \nReviewing cameras across Enterprise \nMonitoring access control software and responding to suspicious activity \nProviding incident reports backed up with video footage in case of incident \nReporting poor weather trends where supply chain activity may be affected \nMonitoring drone flight path and responding to related reports for facility water leaks or open gates and smoke or Ammonia plumes\nAssisting associates with video access \nMonitoring all quotations and purchase order requirements for repair, maintenance or approval of replacement systems \nKeeping accurate record of all costs related to any access or camera work across Enterprise \nResponsible for e-filing all related records \nOther duties as assigned \n\n

Qualifications: 

\n\nHigh school diploma or GED \n2+ years related experience and/or training Licenses or Certifications required or preferred\nIntimate knowledge of Axiom Access control software\nIntimate knowledge of Open Eye CCTV system and related software\nProficient in Excel, Word, Teams and willing to learn other related programs\nExcellent customer service skills and ability to communicate at multiple levels of our organization\nSystems trouble shooting, basic knowledge of UPS, POE Switches and internet connectivity.\nIncident and report writing experience, Ex Military or PD preferred.\nBe prepared to work shifts or extended hours in case of an emergency.\nMust be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends, and holidays.\n\n
